Social & Digital Media Guru

Our clients are great people.  Good causes and important messages.  The problem is that they are socially awkward.  That’s where you come in.  We are looking for a Guru to elucidate them, lead them to the light, and boost their social skills. If you are a social person with a high degree of initiative, have been around the social media track a bunch, and would like to head up a social media team, let’s talk.

Visions & Responsibilities

  • Create and implement digital media plan including paid and organic social strategies with detailed quarterly milestones. With Facebook, Business Manager and Power Editor expertise is essential.
  • Develop and manage social media guidelines to ensure that our online outreach strategy is effective and consistent with our clients’ brands.
  • Research and analyze clients’ online market/competitors.
  • Develop social media and grow community presence on different social media mediums, including Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube, Pinterest, Blogger, Instagram, Reddit and LinkedIn. DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU USE THESE MEDIUMS AT LEAST 5X PER WEEK.
  • Execute social media strategy to create a “buzz” and drive traffic, while acquiring meaningful conversions including a viral content strategy.
  • Develop and build brand awareness using different mediums (including videos and infographics).
  • Develop relationships with fans/customers/constituents through social media and community marketing programs. Focus on driving user-generated content, while also increasing overall engagement.
  • Respond to inquiries and messages in a timely manner.
  • Create custom monthly social media performance reports.
  • Monitor key online conversations and events to ensure that our clients are participating effectively in quality conversions and are appropriately represented.
  • Author quality status updates to creatively communicate about our clients.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with bloggers, as well as fans/customers to help execute a solid content distribution strategy.
  • Monitor trends in social media and applications.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Must be in or planning to move to Austin, Tx within the next 30 days. Do not apply if you don’t plan on living in our lovely city.
  • 5+ years of full-time direct management of B2C social and digital media campaigns.
  • Understand the difference between managing a personal vs. business social media accounts.
  • Place digital ads on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter & LinkedIn. With Facebook, Business Manager and Power Editor expertise is essential.
  • Extensive posting on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram, Reddit and LinkedIn.
  • Solid knowledge of how social media is part of a fully integrated marketing campaign, including SEO, web design, etc.
  • Experience with HootSuite, Sprout Social, Facebook Business Manager and other digital media management tools.
  • Undergraduate degree and/or background in advertising, communications, journalism, social sciences, marketing, PR, or social media.
  • Detail-oriented and possesses solid writing/grammatical skills.
  • Must be comfortable working with little direct supervision.
  • Works well under pressure and deadlines and changing objectives.
